Remote Home Security Monitoring Leads to Arrest
Using a security system that allowed him to see from his work computer a burglary attempt to his home, a Crawfordville man alerted Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office deputies to the crime.
Deputies responded to the home on Neeley Road in the area of Spring Creek Highway and Shadeville Highway where they found and arrested 18-year-old Peter Justin Will at about 9:30 a.m.
The Tallahassee resident was arrested without incident and was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, attempted armed burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
He is being held in the Wakulla County Jail on a $27,500 bond.
The victim and gave authorities a play-by-play of what he saw from his work computer.
Deputies found Will wearing a green mask over his face and black gloves. They also found a .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol and a long bladed knife on the ground nearby.
Damage to the home included a broken window, pry marks and a damaged window screen.
